Frequently Asked Questions

What types of animals do you treat?

Cats and dogs.

Can you be my full-time vet?

No. We’re only equipped to provide wellness and preventative care and aren’t a replacement for a full-service veterinary hospital. We encourage every pet owner to establish themselves at a full-service practice. This is necessary should your pet become ill or need help with an acute issue.

Do you take walk-ins?

No, we operate by appointment only.

What will it cost for you to see my pet?

Comprehensive health exams cost $40, while vaccines range from $20-$37 (most under $26). Other services such as microchipping and monthly preventions are also available. Call +1 (413) 203-4330 for more detail.

I am low income. Do you offer any discounts?

For those that are low-income, we take 15 percent off vaccines and certain services with proof of any state or federal income assistance program (except insurance) as qualification. Examples include fuel, food or utility assistance.

Do you offer payment plans?

No. Payment for services is due at the the time of your appointment. (We accept cash and credit cards).

Where are you located?

289 Dalton Avenue, Pittsfield, Massachusetts 01201 in the former Allen Heights Veterinary Hospital building.

Do you offer nail trims?

No, but Berkshire Humane Society offers nail trims for cats, rabbits and guinea pigs at the main shelter by appointment for only $10. Call +1 (413) 447-7878 to schedule an appointment. Many local pet supply stores, as well as grooming facilities offer nail trim clinics monthly.

Do you offer spay/neuter services?

No, we don’t offer surgical services at this time. More information is available here on help with low-cost spay/neuter, mostly for cats.
