We Depend on You

Berkshire Humane Society is a privately funded organization. We receive no public funds from any other animal support groups, nor do we receive monies from any local, state or federal sources. All of our income is derived either from donations, bequests and memberships of friends or from fund-raising events held throughout the year. In some cases, “angels” make significant gifts to the shelter by underwriting extraordinary medical costs of a shelter animal. In other instances, such funding is provided by the Ken Freeberg Fund.
