Josh Billings Partners with Berkshire Humane Society

Thank you to the Josh Billings Runaground for helping raising money for Berkshire Humane Society this year! It’s only fitting as Josh Billings, a 19th century humorist who was born in right here in Berkshire County in Lanesborough, famously said, “A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than you love yourself.”

This year the “Josh” is different. It will be virtual and show dogs and other pets a little love by helping raise money for us. In addition to sheltering homeless animals for adoption, we have programs to help people in need keep their pets happy, healthy and in their homes. We also promote care, empathy and compassion for all animals through outreach and education.

We’re a private, non-profit, independent shelter that receives no government funding. We rely on donations to help animals in the Berkshires and the people who love them. If you’re doing the Josh, spread the word on social media and ask your friends to support your team by donating to Berkshire Humane Society using the link above. Of course, you can donate too!

We and homeless animals of Berkshire County thank you.
