Help Animals by Winning a New Car

On Saturday, April 28, Berkshire Humane Society (BHS) and Haddad Subaru launch their 6th annual Subaru Car Raffle at the Humane Race in North Adams. This year, a 2019 Subaru Outback (package value approximated over $33,000) will be raffled. The vehicle, which is premium-equipped and includes EyeSight Safety, remote starter, heated seats, and a 7-year/100K Subaru Gold Plus Warranty, is provided by Haddad Subaru in Pittsfield.

“Haddad Subaru is so excited to be teaming up with Berkshire Humane Society for the 6th annual Subaru Outback raffle. Over the past 5 years, we have had the pleasure of raising over $314k (net) to BHS, which is something we’re very proud of. What’s so special about our long-time relationship is the fact that we have been able to witness what all of those dollars have done, and continue to do, for this incredible organization,” said Chris Kramek, General Manager for Haddad Subaru.

Tickets may be purchased at a variety of locations including the main shelter in Pittsfield, Baker’s Golf Center (Lanesborough), Bark N’ Cat (North Adams), Bartlett’s Orchard (Richmond), Catwalk Boutique (Great Barrington), Chez Pet (Lenox), Haddad Subaru (Pittsfield), and Purradise (Great Barrington). Tickets are one (1) for $40 or three (3) for $100. The raffle is limited to 2,100 tickets; if a minimum of 1,000 tickets are not sold, the raffle will convert to a 50/50 drawing of the net proceeds.

“We’re thrilled to host this raffle again this year,” said John Perreault, Executive Director for Berkshire Humane Society. “It’s a successful fundraiser for us, and it’s awesome to see someone win a car. We love working with Haddad Subaru. They are extremely supportive of our mission, and we believe in supporting local business. This event typically raises more than $30,000 after expenses. Our annual budget is more than $1.4 million, so participation in the raffle is vital to our shelter’s success. We assist nearly 2,000 animals each year, and that’s, in large part, due to our community’s support. We are entirely funded by individuals – with Haddad Subaru’s help, this is one of the ways we try to give back.”

The winner will be drawn on Saturday, October 27 at 1p.m. at Haddad Subaru, located at 652 East St., Pittsfield, MA. Follow the event on Facebook or check the shelter’s website for more info: BerkshireHumane.org
