Our Animal Speaking Series for Adults (Kids Welcome!)

Great speakers, thoughtful conversation, and delicious desserts – can it get any better? Between January and March, Berkshire Humane Society (BHS) is pleased to host our Coffee Hour Speaking Series, which features authors, researchers, and other professionals speaking on a range of timely animal topics.

Past guest have included Diane Beers, author and professor at Holyoke Community College, who examined the history of the animal welfare movement in the United States and Caitlin Quinn, foundation manager with the Animal Farm Foundation, who discussed myths surrounding “pit bull” dogs and the need for education and advocacy to break the cycle of breed discrimination.

The Coffee Hour Speaking Series is held at BHS and always free and open to the public. Reservations aren’t necessary, but we’d appreciate you letting us know if you’ll be joining us. Contact us at Social@BerkshireHumane.org.
