Berkshire Humane Society is hosting our 23rd annual horse show—the longest standing horse show in Berkshire County -on August 23, 2015 at Overmeade Farm located in Lenox, Massachusetts.  Sally and Ken Hart have once again graciously offered their expertise and their facilities for the day.

Download this year’s show program, it includes prize list, classes and registration form. (Requires Adobe Reader)
This show provides an excellent opportunity to offer a quality WNEPHA (Western New England Professional Horseman’s Association),  recognized competition for riders and spectators while at the same time raising critically needed funds to support the mission and work or our Berkshire Humane Society.

Over 30 classes will be offered ranging for riders ranging from very young children in lead line classes to advance junior and adult medal classes.  Ann Jamieson is the judge for the day.  Ann is USEF (United State Equestrian Federation) certified judge in hunters, equitation and jumpers who is herself an amateur riders  who trains her own horses and shows her horse, Fred Astaire in both hunter and dressage competitions.   Ann has judged at the most prestigious shows in the Northeast and is the author of four books – a series called For the Love of the Horse and she is a staff writer for Today’s Equestrian.  Ribbons and prizes will be awarded to riders. We will also have the “Judge’s Award” (prizes donated by Nikki Kellogg) again this year. The award is given by the judge to the rider who demonstrates the highest quality of horsemanship and sportsmanship throughout the show day. The decision is the sole discretion of the judge.

Berkshire Humane Society merchandise will be for sale as well as great food and beverages will be available from our food booth.

For  opportunities to sponsor a class or division contact Diane Briggs at the Humane Society at 413-447-7878, extension 131.
