Coffee Hour Speaking Series:
Finding Shelter

Saturday, May 20 from 2-4pm

Join us for our next Coffee Hour Speaking Series event featuring award-winning photographer Jesse Freidin and his new book “Finding Shelter.” This free event will feature an animal photography demonstration. Refreshments will be served and books that are purchased in advance can be signed.

“Finding Shelter” is a portrait project about animal shelter volunteers and the animals they care for, by photographer Jesse Freidin. Jesse will join BHS on May 20th for a talk about the book and his experience photographing shelter volunteers and animals across the country. He will also be signing books. (Books must be purchased in advance.)

Alternatives to animal testing

This coming Sunday’s Coffee Hour Speaking Series presentation has been cancelled due to the forecast of inclement weather conditions.

Once again, Berkshire Humane Society (BHS) is hosting another exciting Coffee Hour Speaking Series (CHSS) as part of its humane education programming designed especially for adults!

The first talk in the series is:
Estate Planning for You and Your Pet
January 22nd – “What Everyone Needs to Know about Estate Planning: Both for You and for Your Pets”
Attorney Holly Rogers

During this fun and informative presentation, Attorney Rogers will discuss basic estate planning for you and your loved ones, including your furry and feathered family members! Topics will include simple steps to take that will benefit you during your life and after as well as ways to care for your pet if you are unable to. A Q & A will conclude the presentation.

Attorney Rogers has been in practice since 1998 when she graduated cum laude from the Suffolk University Law School in Boston. After relocating to the Berkshires in 2007, she has focused her practice on probate administration and estate planning for the peace of mind of individuals and families. Attorney Rogers is a long-time advocate for responsible estate planning which includes pets.

All CHSS events will begin at 2:00p.m. and take place in BHS’s Family Dog School training room.
