Camp Humane Programs are an “Educational Experience” for children from grades 3 – 7.

Activities include a variety of presentations by Animal Professionals; Arts and Crafts Projects; Interaction with Pets in a Classroom Setting; Learning Responsible Pet Ownership; Pet Care Techniques & Grooming; Training Demonstrations; Kind & Humane Treatment of Others and Fun!

Registration Information

All of the camp openings are subject to availability, we cannot hold a place without registration and tuition payment.  If your child has a friend that would like to attend, they will need to process a separate registration form and payment. A completed registration form for camp needs to be mailed or dropped off in person to the BHS Shelter on 214 Barker Rd. Pittsfield, MA 01201. Please include your payment with the registration form. A non-refundable payment is needed to reserve your child’s place in all camp programs. We accept Cash, Check, MasterCard or Visa as a form of payment.

2010 Camp Humane Schedule

  • Registration begins January 4th for both Vacation Camps  (10 students per day ~ grades 3-6)
  • Registration begins January 4th for Summer Camp BHS Members ONLY
  • Registration begins April 5th for the General Public.

Camp Dates:
February Vacation Camp: Feb 15th - 19th
April Vacation Camp: Apr 19th -23rd

Summer Camp Humane:
Session A ~ Children going into 3rd grade   July 5th - 9th
Session B ~ Children going into 4th grade  July 12th - 16th
Session C ~ Children going into 5th grade  July 19th – 23rd
Session D ~ Children going into 6th grade  July 26th – 30th
Session E ~ Children going into 7th grade  Aug 2nd – 6th
