BHS is committed to taking whatever steps are necessary to help individuals keep their companion animals with them. When economic issues threaten a pet owner’s ability to continue caring for his or her companion animal, BHS tries to help by offering a supply of food from our pet food bank. The pet food bank is stocked with food that is donated by members of the community. The main food bank is at the shelter; two satellite banks are maintained at local community agencies. The pet food bank has proven a lifeline for hundreds of pet owners and their animals each year. |
