The BHS is a non-profit, open admission shelter, providing refuge for homeless animals in
Berkshire County and the surrounding areas, as well as many vital programs that benefit
the people of our community, including, free educational programs for local school children,
a pet-food bank for economically distressed pet owners, and assistance for The Elizabeth
Freeman Center in providing abused women with a safe haven for their pets during crisis.
You Can Adopt Animals During the Following Hours:
Tuesday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Wednesday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Thursday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Friday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Sunday: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Monday: Closed
Surrenders:
Tuesday thru Friday: 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Sunday: Closed
Monday: Closed
