LEARN SOME FOUR-LEGGED LESSONS
Bring the Humane Society to your elementary school! Through our Classroom Education Program, a BHS representative will do an hour-long presentation on “how to be a responsible pet owner” and “what it means to be a humane being.” The program is made age-appropriate for each particular class.
Why offer humane education in the classroom?
Fosters responsibility
Builds a sense of family & community
Develops empathy
Teaches problem-solving
Creates a sense of self-worth
An important part of our mission, these educational programs are offered free of charge to all elementary schools in Berkshire County.
