Changing Perceptions about Pit Bull Dogs

To help celebrate Love a Bull Month at Berkshire Humane Society, Caitlin Quinn, Foundation Manager at the Animal Farm Foundation, will be the guest speaker for this month’s “Coffee Hour Speaking Series” on Sunday, February 16. In her presentation, “Changing Perceptions about Pit Bull Dogs,” Caitlin will discuss myths and misunderstandings about pit bull dogs. The Animal Farm Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation, is dedicated to securing equal treatment and opportunity for “pit bull” dogs. Ollie, our Good Citizen Pit Bull Ambassador who was adopted from Berkshire Humane Society, will also be making a guest appearance.

The “Coffee Hour Speaking Series” is held at the shelter on Barker Road is Pittsfield, 2:00pm – 4:00pm, and is free and open to the public. After Caitlin’s presentation, ample time will be provided for discus-sion and questions. Refreshments will be served. Next month’s speaker is Mary A. Koncel from the Tufts/Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, who will examine the management of Bureau of Land Management wild horses on Sunday, March 16.
